Implementation Consultant
Position Summary
Responsibilities of this position include implementation, training and support for small and large scale clients. This candidate must have excellent communication and client management skills in order to maintain positive client relations. They must possess initiative to assess and evaluate client needs for the initial scope of project, determine a project plan, lead clients throughout the implementation and maintain the client relationship. The ideal candidate is technically proficient and possesses the capability to explain highly technical processes to non-technical clients. This candidate must be a self-starter, who is able to work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Responsibilities
- Ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment, both in a team and individually.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and projects/tasks simultaneously.
- Create Implementation Design documents which details each file exchanged along with mapping requirements and data flow diagrams.
- Responsible for managing client expectations.
- Ability to command a group of individuals in a room quickly and be assertive in a public environment.
- Coordinate and schedule time and/or travel itineraries pertaining to your client assignments (which may include booking travel for much of the following: air, hotel, car rental, directions, etc.). Individual will be held responsible for keeping expenses reasonable.
- Create documentation of the delivered configured application in a Reference guide, user's guide or training guide.
- Designing data interfaces in a team environment along with an internal Account Manager and client resources.
- Strong internal communication skills including ability to work with all levels of the organization (development, sales, marketing, and operations).
- Test areas of the product at the appropriate time of development rollout.
- Responsible for maintaining product knowledge, implementing and training latest features and functionality of product at the client site.
- Assist in creating processes and procedures that will streamline the training and implementation processes. This will include documentation needed for internal/external clients.
- Present product knowledge/expertise both in a training, implementation and sales environment including trade shows, conventions and public speaking engagements.
- Effectively manage/maintain all client relationships.
- Assess client's needs for product development issues when applicable, which includes the scope, features, plan and schedule for the development phase.
- Must have a proactive, energized relationship with the sales organization to ensure a positive overall customer experience. Pre/post-sales presentations to particular clients are required.
- Assist other team members with client engagements when appropriate
- Analyzing EDI data and documenting customizations/changes where appropriate.
- Technical support during the phase of go-live with each of the company's applications.
- Project and task management and prioritization to ensure timely implementations.
- Automation of all data load tasks utilizing the company's engine application.
- Responsible for identifying additional revenue opportunities and providing cross-selling support.
- Analyzing EDI files and making changes as appropriate.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through follow-up, client responsiveness, and thorough communication.
- Project and task management and prioritization to ensure timely implementations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years related experience and/or training
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Science or Engineering preferred
- Experience in Healthcare (Hospital or Health Insurance), Insurance or Financial Services.
- Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Project, and Visio.) experience preferred.
- General knowledge of IT.
- Presentation Skills. (GoToMeeting experience a plus)
- Travel is required (30%)
- Project management experience including creation of implementation plans.
- Technical writing / documentation experience
- Self-starter, initiator, strong organizational, presentation, interpersonal and consultative skills a must.
